A Revolution in Manual Therapy
Welcome to the official website for information about Residual Strain TherapyTM  (RST), a groundbreaking new manual therapy.  Based on a principle of cellular and fascia structure called "tensegrity", RST offers new hope for relief for many people with musculo-skeletal pain.

Patients love RST because it is very gentle, yet often the most powerfully effective physical treatment they have ever experienced.  Because it is gentle and works on a whole different set of principles, it can seem like magic.

Practitioners love RST because it addresses underlying problems for a multitude of physical complaints, yet is so easy on both the patient and practitioner. Of course, RST is not magical, and learning RST demands dedication as practitioners learn the palpation skill, anatomical expertise and tissue structural principles required to master this treatment method. This effort is rewarded richly when practitioners find they can consistently help chronic pain conditions, and when treating common problems such as back and neck pain becomes simpler, quicker and more effective.

Some Conditions that Often Respond Well to RST Treatment:

LOW BACK PAIN
CHRONIC TENSION HEADACHES
TENDONITIS
KNEE PAIN
SCIATICA

SPINAL STENOSIS
ROTATOR CUFF PAIN (non-surgical)
VERTIGO
HAND NUMBNESS
MIGRAINES

NECK PAIN
PLANTAR FASCITIS
HIP PAIN
ATHLETIC INJURIES
FAILED BACK SURGERY

Eric Winder DC
Developer of Residual Strain Therapy

Dr. Winder developed RST over a six year period, as he explored the ideas of other researchers pertaining to cellular tensegrity and manual therapy.  His work on RST earned him an adjunct faculty appointment at Slippery Rock University, to do formal research on RST and its underlying principles.  Dr. Winder has begun teaching his unique treatment methods to other healthcare professionals, in an effort to make RST treatment  widely available.
Featured Story:

"I came to the office initially for a hip injury.  After my first visit I realized that Dr. Winder could help me with problems that I have suffered with for years-  ... a lower back injury and chronic neck pain.  At times these were unbearable but... I got used to putting up with the pain.      I had tried regular chiropractic, massage therapy, and physical therapy.  I have had amazing results since my first visit here.  My hip injury quickly healed.  Also, the pain that I have suffered from for years gradually began to disappear.  I am a dance major and I always thought my body just couldn't go certain directions.  My range of motion and flexibility has greatly increased.  I can see a huge improvement in my dancing thanks to the treatment provided here."
